Having undergone a programme of renovation and extension, Donyatt Village Hall now offers a traditional village hall, with modern facilities.

This spacious hall has a light and airy vestibule large enough to use as a bar/buffet area, off of which is access to the new toilet facilities, a meeting room and a good sized kitchen furnished with modern stainless steel equipment. Due to solar panel energy generation, the hall has ‘green’ credentials too.

The Main Hall has a small stage area, adequate for small concerts or productions. The Hall can hold 120 people with seating arranged theatre style, or 90 people seated at tables, or 108 seated and dancing.

There are plenty of tables and chairs, as well as a movable bar available, included in the rental fee. The main hall lends itself to a broad range of activities – sales, family functions such as christenings and wedding receptions, concerts, charity events and dance & exercise classes.

 

 

For smaller gatherings, the David Willis Meeting Room can accommodate 20 people. This room is an excellent venue for a small family party, a seminar or conference, or small tutorial class, to name a few. Due to its proximity to the Main Hall stage area, the David Willis Room also makes a good dressing area, for staged productions.

 

Outside the hall is a fenced off patio area and a huge car park, making this venue ideal for all kinds of events, not least because venues with their own car parking are few and far between.

The hiring of the hall is broken down by the space required and into morning, afternoon and evening sessions, to allow for flexibility of hire, so you only pay for the period of time and the space you actually need.

If additional covered space is needed, it is possible to hire the Donyatt Recreation Area Marquee to be erected on the patio area, or in the overflow area at the back of the car park, to extend the accommodation for your event.

If the Marquee is required, subject to availability, there will be a separate fee for its use, charged by the Recreation Area committee, and the Marquee will be erected in good time for your booking.
